Seattle Sounders’ worst fears for Jordan Morris’s knee injury look as though they’ve been realized. Stuart Holden has reported that the Sounders and US National Team forward has suffered a torn ACL in his team’s first match of the CONCACAF Champions League. Seattle had already used all 3 of their substitutes and played the remainder of the match down a man. It is still unknown the extent of the injury as the Seattle Sounders have yet to confirm the report. A study by Robert H Brophy, M.D. et al from 2012 found that 72% of soccer players who suffered ACL injuries returned to soccer after surgery.
